Join us for an unforgettable 2 days overnight in the Wadi Araba desert, we will be hiking the impressive canyons of Tiben and Tajra
Itinerary
Day 1: Wadi Tiben - 15 km
On day one we will start the day off from Taybeh, in Ma’an, and descend to Wadi Tiben (this is to the south of Petra Region). We will encounter a beautiful change in mountains and scenery, and hike in areas that not many people have visited yet. We will descend around 500 m on the first day. Including a few rolling uphills to arrive at a wide col to pass onto the other side of the mountain. Here we will have a shift in geology as we descend to Gaa Mreibed and arrive at our campsite. We will set up our tents and dinner will be served. We will also enjoy a night around the fire.
Day 2: Wadi Tajra - 14 km
On the second day, we will start our uphill journey headed east to enter Wadi Tajarah. We will hike from 600 to 1,200 m back to Rajef, headed towards Ras El Mayet, as we walk towards the wind turbines. End the day on the main road to meet our driver and head back to Amman.
What To Bring?

Around 25 L backpack to carry the belongings you need for the day
Duffle bag to leave in the support vehicle
Personal sleeping bag
Personal tent & sleeping bag (or inform us and we can arrange them for you)
Pillow (optional)
Trail snacks, such as chocolate, nuts, seeds, dried fruits, etc.
Your favorite coffee or tea for the morning
Personal mug (important!) Let’s try to reduce waste!
Comfortable hiking/walking clothes and an extra change of clothes
Hiking shoes/boots
Flip flops/sandals to wear around the campsite

Buff/cap/head cover/bandana
