Itinerary
Day 1: Jabal Khorma - 10 km - 10 km
Distance: 10 km
Elevation gain+/-loss (meters): +275/-640
General description: Kick off the hike from Taybeh village and follow an ancient Nabataean route through the sandstone mountains, offering a glimpse into the historic paths once used to cross this rugged landscape. As you make your way through the mountains, you will pass an ancient Nabataean water well before continuing along a gradual descent, with the final section becoming steeper as you make your way down. From here, the trail continues along a sandy path that gradually descends into Gaa' Mriebed where we will spend the night. Meals (B, L, D)
Day 2: Wadi Tiben - 14 km - 14 km
Distance: 14 km
Elevation gain+/-loss (meters): +675/-245
General description: After an early breakfast at the camp, we will set off on foot and begin our ascent through the impressive Wadi Tiben. The trail takes us through a dramatic and ever-changing landscape, with towering cliffs, rugged mountains, and spectacular scenery unfolding along the way. As we make our way through the wadi, we will explore remote and lesser-visited areas, offering a sense of adventure and discovery away from the more frequented trails. The hike continues through the canyon until we reach its end, where a well-deserved local lunch will be waiting for us. After lunch we will board the bus and begin our journey back to Amman, bringing our adventure to an end. Meals (B, L)
What To Bring?
