On day one we will start the day off from Taybeh village and descend Wadi Tiben (this is to the south of Petra Region). We will encounter a beautiful change in mountains and scenery, and hike in areas that not many people have visited yet. We will descend around 500 m on the first day. Including a few rolling uphills to arrive at a wide col to pass onto the other side of the mountain. Here we will have a shift in geology as we descend to Gaa Mreibed to then transfer to our secluded campsite. We will eat our delicious locally prepared food in a local bedouin tent, and enjoy the chat around the campfire
On day two, we will ascend Jabal Harun (the highest mountain in Petra) via an ancient trading route, the trail begins in the impressive desert of Wadi Araba, ascending East towards Sharat mountains, a beautiful trek with everchanging sceneries, and plenty of panoramic views, once we arrive to the summit we will enjoy a local tea and visit the shrine of prophet Harun (Aaron), then we will descend back to Wadi Araba but this via a local bedouin trail, winding down through mountains and wadis with plenty of incredible views
