Salt to Iraq Al Amir 27 February, 2026

Head to the Salt City center, a city known as a “place of tolerance and urban hospitality” and a UNESCO world heritage site, then go up to “Nagb Addabour” following tracks and country roads through small farm holdings and rising over the hills and down to the Hellenistic site of Iraq Al-Amir with its adjacent caves dating from the Copper Age 5000 years ago. After lunch, we will drive back to Amman.

- we want to make sure you have a great time, so please bring most,
if not all, the items on this list:
- Personal ID
- Water (preferably 3 liters per person)
- Around 25 L backpack to carry your water, snacks, and any other belongings you
may need.
- Personal travel mug for the tea break (help us reduce waste)!
- Trail snacks, such as chocolate, nuts, seeds, dried fruits, etc.
- Comfortable hiking/walking clothes
- Hiking boots/ shoes
- Sunglasses
- Buff/cap/headcover/bandana
- Hiking pole(s)- Optional
- Headlight (in case)
- Sun protection - SPF 30 or more
- Any personal/common medication (i.e. migraines, joints, allergies, insulin, etc..)
- Fleece sweater/ down jacket
