LIABILITY AND WAIVER
  • Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge that marathon running is an outdoor activity with inherent risks including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, extreme weather, terrain, and wildlife. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation in this event.
  • Release of Liability: In consideration of the acceptance of your entry, you, on behalf of yourself, your heirs, and executors, hereby release, waive, and forever discharge TREKS Travel & Tourism Company, its sponsors, officials, employees, volunteers, and all other persons and entities associated with the event (the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, liabilities, or demands of any kind arising from your participation in the event, even if arising from the negligence of the Released Parties.
EVENT POLICY
  • Bib Policy: Your race bib is personal to you, non-transferable, and must be fully visible at all times during the race. Lost or forgotten bibs will not be replaced.
  • Media Release: You grant TREKS Travel & Tourism Company the perpetual right to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of your participation in this event for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising, without compensation to you.
  • Event Modifications & Cancellation: TREKS Travel & Tourism Company reserves the right to modify the event course, schedule, or amenities for safety or logistical reasons. In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disaster, government order, acts of war or terrorism), the event may be rescheduled. In such a case, your registration will be automatically transferred to the new date, and entry fees will not be refunded.
MEDICAL POLICY
  • On-Site Medical Support: A medical team is available prior to, during, and immediately after the marathon. Furthermore, a team will be patrolling the routes to ensure the safety of runners.
  • Medical Consent & Financial Responsibility: You consent to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during the event. You agree that you are solely responsible for all costs incurred in your medical treatment and evacuation, if required.
  • Medical Insurance: We strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel and medical insurance that specifically covers adventure sports and marathon running in Jordan. If you fall ill, our guides and office will assist in evacuating you to a suitable hospital. 
  • Medical Authority & External Care: If any treatment is unable to be carried out by an on-site medical team and it is necessary to refer a participant to local medical facilities, the medical team will not be held liable for any treatment carried out by staff from local medical facilities. The doctor/medical team reserves the right to take a participant out of the race if it is deemed necessary. 
MINIMUM AGE POLICY
  • Independent Registration Age: All participants must be at least 18 years old on the event date to register independently.
  • Requirements for Minors: Participants under 18:
    • Must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+) throughout the entire event.
    • On registration day, accompanying adult must be present, provide ID and sign a waiver allowing the minor to participate.
    • The accompanying adult assumes full responsibility for the minor’s safety and conduct during the event.
  • Right of Refusal: TREKS Travel & Tourism Company reserves the right to refuse entry to any participant failing to meet these requirements.
NON-RUNNER CHILDREN POLICY
  • Definition of a Non-Runner: A non-runner is any individual who is not registered to participate in the marathon race itself but is accompanying a registered runner.
  • Supervision Requirement: The safety and well-being of children is our top priority. All non-runner children under the age of 18 must be actively supervised by a responsible adult at all times during the event. If the registered adult is participating in the race, another companion must be designated to care for the child for the duration of the run.
  • Fee Structure:
    • Ages 4 and Under: Complimentary. Children aged four and below may attend free of charge, including bus transportation, shared bed with their guardian and meals.
    • Ages 5 and Above: A non-runner guest fee applies. This includes lodging (shared with the parent), meals, marathon t-shirt, and bus transportation.
PAYMENT POLICY
  • Registration Deadline: All registrations for the event will close 72 hours prior to the event, on April 28, 2026, at 21:00 (9:00 PM) EEST.
  • Securing Your Registration: Your chosen event package and spot are only secured upon our receipt of full payment. Treks Jordan cannot guarantee the availability of a package that sells out prior to the completion of your payment.
  • Accepted Payment Methods: During the registration process, you may pay via Credit/Debit Card or Cash on Delivery (COD). If you select the COD payment method, you will receive a follow-up email with detailed instructions for completing your payment. Options include:
    • Bank Transfer
    • Instant Payment Transfer (Western Union & MoneyGram)
    • Cliq
    • Cash Pickup (a 3.0 JOD service fee will be charged for the driver)
    • In-Person Store Drop-Off
CANCELLATION POLICY
  • Refund Eligibility: A full refund will be issued for any cancellation made more than 14 days prior to race day.
  • Cancellations Within 14 Days of Race Day: No monetary refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 14 days before the event.
  • Postponement Option:
    • If you cancel between 7 and 14 days prior to race day, you may elect to postpone your registration to the following year's event at no additional charge.
    • To qualify for this postponement, you must inform Treks in writing at least 7 days before race day.
  • Cancellations Within 7 Days of Race Day:
    • Any cancellation made less than 7 days before the event is final.
    • Unfortunately, no refunds or postponements can be offered for last-minute cancellations.
DISTANCE AND RUNNER CHANGE POLICY
  • Changing Your Race Distance: All distance change requests must be submitted at least 72 hours prior to race day. Changes on race day are strictly prohibited.
  • Possible Fees (this only applies to "A-la-carte" registrations):
    • Upgrading Distance: If you are upgrading to a longer, higher-priced race (e.g., from 10k to 21k), you will be charged the price difference.
    • Downgrading Distance: If you are downgrading to a shorter, lower-priced race, a refund for the price difference will be issued.
  • Transferring Your Bib to Another Runner:
    • You must inform Treks of a bib transfer at least 72 hours prior to race day to process the change.
    • The new runner must complete the registration waiver and provide all required personal details. The original runner forfeits all rights to their race entry.

For any changes made less than 14 days before the race, we cannot guarantee that updated materials (such as your bib number, t-shirt, etc…) will reflect your personal information (e.g., name, size, etc…)

RACE CUT OFF TIME POLICY
  • General Cut-off Time: The cut-off time for all distances is 3:30 AM. Runners still on the route after the time is up will be picked by a race official or patrol car and driven back to camp.
  • 50k Checkpoint Cut-Off: Runners must reach the designated halfway checkpoint within 4 hours of the start, by 11:30 PM.
PET POLICY
  • Pet Welcome & Leash Requirement: Pets are welcome in designated areas but must be leashed and under direct control at all times.
  • Transportation Prohibition: Pets are not permitted on any event-organized transportation (e.g., shuttles, buses).
  • Owner Responsibility: You are solely and fully responsible for your pet's actions, welfare, waste cleanup, and any resulting damage or disturbance.
  • Assumption of Risk & Release: You acknowledge and assume all inherent risks of bringing a pet, including injury, illness, or loss. In consideration for your pet's attendance, you, on behalf of yourself and your heirs, executors, and assigns, hereby release and forever discharge the Released Parties from any and all claims arising from your pet's presence or actions, even those due to negligence.
  • Event Authority: TREKS Travel & Tourism Company reserves the right to remove any pet at its sole discretion. No refunds will be issued under such circumstances.
