The hike starts amidst oak and pine forest and then progresses towards a sandstone plateau from which you will observe one of the greatest ongoing geological events “The great rift valley”, looking towards the west you will be seeing the dramatic mountains, valleys and sand dunes of Wadi Arabah desert.
Dana is Jordan’s largest nature reserve, and home to a great variety of wildlife. It is a merging spot of species from three continents, Europe, Africa, and Asia, with 833 plant species and over 215 bird species, 38 mammal species, and 36 reptile species.
