Khirbet Al-Souq to King Talal Dam

The trail begins in Khirbet Al Souq, located at the edge of Jerash. Start off on a dirt road, then we go into the forest for a long and gradual ascend to reach the top of the mountain. The forest is packed with pine, oak, and maple trees. It then descends headed south to reach another dirt road. Continue on a meandering forest route through Dibben Reserve Forest until we reach the end of the hike at the Der Dibben. Finally, late lunch at a local house, before driving back to Amman.

• Personal ID
• Water (we recommend 3 liters per person)
• Daypack to carry your belongings, Ideally 25 Liters. 
• Trail snacks, such as chocolate, nuts, seeds, dried fruits, etc. 
• Comfortable hiking/walking clothes
• Hiking boots/shoes 
• Sunglasses
• Buff/cap/head cover/bandana
• Sun protection - SPF 30 or more 
• Lip balm (optional)
• Hiking Poles (optional) 
• Insect repellent (optional)
• Flip-flop to wear after the hike (optional) 
• Personal medication (If applicable)
• Personal travel mug for tea (help us reduce waste)!
